NEW MORNING PROGRAM – 2 Sessions!
Benefits of Building Community for Recovering Individuals
Presenter: Raynard Packard, MAEd, LICDC-CS, PsyD Candidate
High Insights: Unraveling the Potency Puzzle of Marijuana
Presenter: Patrick Ripberger, MPH, MCHES
Cannabis today is not the cannabis of decades past. With THC levels climbing from 1–2% in the 1970s to over 20% in many modern products, the conversation around marijuana requires more nuance than ever. This workshop, developed by The Helping Academy at Mezzo Solutions, explores the history, health effects, and policy challenges tied to high-potency cannabis products now flooding communities.
Designed for helping professionals, educators, and community partners, this session blends research, real-world stories, and reflective discussion to unpack how cannabis potency has shifted, why public perceptions have changed, and what that means for prevention, treatment, and community health.
Together, we’ll examine the impact on youth, families, and systems – and leave with tools to support informed conversations, advocacy, and protective strategies in your own circles.
Because understanding the substance is the first step in protecting the people.
AFTERNOON PROGRAM:

Presented by Mezzo Solutions
Megan Ripberger, MSW, LCSW, LISW
& Patrick Ripberger, MPH, MCHES
Helping others shouldn’t mean losing yourself. This workshop, developed by The Helping Academy at Mezzo Solutions, offers a compassionate, research-informed space to explore burnout in real life – what it looks like, how it shows up in your body and mind, and why it happens more often in the roles that require the most heart.
Designed for helping professionals and community partners, this session blends reflection, conversation, and actionable strategies to help you recognize warning signs early and build habits that protect your energy, values, and wellbeing.
Because when we help ourselves, we help better.
