Heather Buckland
Heather holds licensure in Indiana as a LMFT and LCAC and was granted the MAC by NAADAC. She is a member of IAAP and NAADAC as well as AAMFT and IAMFT. Currently, Heather is employed in the Children and Family Department at Centerstone in Richmond, IN and is an adjunct facilitator for Ivy Tech.
Ron ChuppImmediate Past President |
Ron has worked in Mental Health and Addictions since 1991. He received his bachelor’s degree in social work from Goshen College in 1993 and his master’s degree in social work from Indiana University in 2005. He was certified in addictions in 1998 and was licensed as a Clinical Social Worker in 2009 and as a Clinical Addictions Counselor in 2010. Ron works as the Regional Director for Dockside Services in South Bend, is a founding member and Past President of IAAP, and has chaired the IAAP Ethics and Bylaws Committees. In addition, He currently chairs the NAADAC Bylaws Committee and is a member of the NAADAC Ethics Committee.

Corey Busk is a Peer Recovery Coach based in Indianapolis, currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Psychology at Purdue University. He is working toward becoming a Licensed Clinical Addiction Counselor and has recently started the process of earning a PhD in Psychology. He is passionate about this field for many reasons, primary being his own journey in recovery from alcohol and time spent in inpatient care for his addiction. This has led him to seek out opportunities for leadership and learning in Indiana and is proud to raise more awareness and minimize stigma in the state.

Brandy Clark is an MA, LCAC currently working in Richmond Indiana, at Groups Recover Together. Brandy started working in community health in 2017, and has worked in a variety of level of care settings serving in the addiction field. Currently, Brandy is finishing a post-master’s program and will apply for an LMHC in the spring. Brandy is passionate about learning and collaborating with peers the best approaches in treatment to serve those that may be struggling with an addiction or other mental health needs.

Phyllis Shreiner-TataNortheast Regional Director |
Phyllis Schreiner-Tata received a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Services from Purdue University Fort Wayne and a master’s degree in Addiction Counseling from Capella University in 2015. She is a licensed addiction counselor (LAC) in the state of Indiana and is currently facilitating an intensive outpatient group for substance use disorders at Parkview Behavioral Health, Fort Wayne, IN. She is passionate about helping people become restored and recover from their addiction.

Andra D. Johnson is a 1984 graduate from Allegheny College in Meadville, PA where she received her B.A. degree in Sociology. In 1988, she received M.S.S.A. from Case Western Reserve University’s Mandel School of Applied Social Science in Cleveland, OH. Andra is an LCSW in the states of Indiana and Wisconsin; she is a Licensed Independent Social Worker with Supervisor Endorsement in the state of Ohio. Andra is also an LCAC in the state of Indiana. Andra has over thirty years of clinical experience working with children, adolescents, adults, couples, families and groups. She has an extensive history working effectively with people from diverse backgrounds including racial, ethnic, gender, religious, lifestyle, elderly populations, and people with disabilities. As a veteran of the United States Army and recent retiree from the Department of Veterans Affairs, Andra is also committed to meet the addictions and mental health needs and challenges faced by active duty military, veterans and their families. she also practices at Four Rivers & Associates LLC.

Ahnonda Bates is the Regional Director of Clinical Services at Hickory Recovery Network. She has 18 years of experience as an Addictions Therapist, with 9 years in leadership and a passion for advocacy for addictions and mental health treatment, leadership and development, as well as recruitment.

January Whittaker is the Residential Clinical Supervisor, working on finishing her master’s degree in Addictions Counseling. She is working toward being Licensed Addiction Counselor Associate. Her passion is working in substance use and addictions due to her personal lived experience and is devoted to helping people struggling find peace and freedom from substance abuse and addiction.
Sunnie AllenSoutheast Regional Student Director |
Sunnie Allen is a therapist serving in Richmond, IN. Her early experiences as a therapist started in local community mental health centers and once she became fully-licensed, she started her own private practice (Sun Light Wellness, LLC). Currently, she provides both telehealth and in-person services at my practice and my areas of expertise include trauma, anxiety disorders, perinatal mood/anxiety, women’s issues, substance use, and co-occurring disorders. She is licensed as a mental health counselor in both Indiana and Ohio, and licensed as a clinical addictions counselor in Indiana. Sunnie also serves as a board member for Postpartum Support International (PSI, Indiana Chapter) and am a full-time PhD student in Counselor Education and Supervision, where she is in the final dissertation phase and expected to graduate August 2025. She is very dedicated to my profession, enjoys the work as a therapist, and is passionate about becoming more involved in the field of addictions.
